Taking the stage at a very rock-and-roll 20 to ten, 10cc turned in a brilliant set - proof that no other form of entertainment can beat live music at its best.
Most people would struggle to name more than a couple of 10cc songs, but there was a cosy familiarity on the night about pretty much everything so subtly have they slipped into our collective subconscious.

Wall Street Shuffle, Life Is A Minestrone, Art For Art's Sake, I'm Mandy Fly Me and Dreadlock Holiday were all there, plus the sublime I'm Not In Love.

And each was superbly delivered, the sound perfect (Lulu should have been in here, not the cathedral) and the spirit just right on yet another great night for the Real Ale and Jazz.
