The sultry sounds of charismatic vocalist Tony O'Malley filled the Old Kitchen at Bishops Palace to a packed audience. The jazz-tinged contemporary soul and blues was impressive, delivering original material as well as some popular covers.

His husky, soulful and powerful voice lent itself well to the jazz in the Blues Brothers' style, and his tasteful piano playing blended perfectly with the songwriting. He was accompanied by Neil Hubbard on guitar, Jonathan Noyce on bass guitar and Francesca Rogerson added an extra dimension on violin. Tony's effortless performance most definitely pleased the crowd with a combination of heartfelt ballads and upbeat soul tunes. If the space had been bigger there would have no question been some enthusiastic dancing.
