A MIXTURE of hazardous substances found inside a wheelie bin in Bosham had to be diluted and disposed of yesterday (Tuesday, August 26) afternoon.
A combination of five chemicals believed to be those used in swimming pools were found outside a house in Chequer Lane and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene.
After taking advice from a scientific advisor the chemicals, which had begun to react and were releasing fumes, were diluted and the wheelie bin was vented before a waste company disposed of the mixture.
