SAFETY is top of the priority list for one Tangmere pupil whose hard-hitting poster is being displayed throughout her village.
Hannah Wardle was one of a number of pupils who took part in a poster design competition as part of an awareness campaign called Make the Commitment to Tangmere.

The campaign was launched after serious concerns were expressed about speeding traffic along Meadow Way and Tangmere Road and Hannah's design can now be seen throughout the village after her design was made onto metal signs.

The deputy headteacher at Tangmere Primary School, Hugh Parsons, said: "This competition has helped raise awareness of speed with all pupils and parents at our school."

Another competition is planned for the summer, involving the pupils designing their own message for a road safety banner for the school fence in Meadow Way.
