Youngsters in Hunston are celebrating after their village playground was given a makeover.
The playground has received several new pieces of equipment including a climbing frame, as well as new fencing and signs to make it safer for smaller children.
Parents, children and members of Hunston Parish Council turned out for the opening of the revamped facility, with chairman of Chichester District Council John Ridd cutting the ribbon.
The project has been on the cards for several years, and last year the parish council applied for grants from Chichester District Council and the South East England Development Agency, both of which were successful.
The district council donated £9,461, a total of £12,015 came from Seeda, while Hunston Community Club donated £500 and NaturesWay gave £1,000.
Clerk of Hunston Parish Council, Carol Smith, said: "It's been a real community effort and the children really love it.
"We used a company called Garden Karma, based in Emsworth, which has been really great about fitting the equipment. Since the playground was opened it has been really well used."
