Children's Garden Party
Children play in the garden
At Honeysuckle cottage.
Children's Garden Party
Daisies decorate the lawn,
Summer fruits adorn the trees,
Flying from shrubs to flowers
Are butterflies, birds and bees.
Children skip along footpaths,
Some voice their words in music,
Others act out on the lawn,
Dressed in robes of many colours,
Parading in their dream world,
Holding daisy-chain streamers
Toes dressed buttercup yellow.
Beneath sun-kissed skies-
In play, dance and song
Imaginative minds
Expressing great joy
In glorious fun
And shrieks of laughter.
Wearing honeysuckle crowns,
Their innocence and beauty
Is sweetly filling the air.
