Addresses, please
I ALWAYS enjoy the different views expressed by the writers to your letters page.
However, given that many of them are commenting on plans for housing (for example new homes in Birdham), re-developments of existing sites (student accommodation in Stockbridge Rd) and traffic proposals, I feel it would be informative for other readers to have more information about correspondents’ addresses.
For instance, on last week’s page, I note Mr Jennings does actually live in Birdham.
On the other hand DJ Gaylard could live in any part of Chichester: Stockbridge perhaps, but equally Summersdale or Portfield?
Letters supporting or opposing developments carry different connotations depending on whether the person lives close by or not.
