Market is losing out

WHY AM I not surprised there are still units to rent in the Butter Market?

When money is tight and jobs have been lost, no-one has money to spend on jewellery, ornaments or even non-essential clothes, but we all need good food and local produce where possible.

Chichester needs the traditional butchers, grocery stores, greengrocers and fish shop, along with the farmers market produce (at least once a week), plus the WI produce, and all in the centre of the city.

The Butter Market would have been the perfect place and perhaps still can be.

I urge the district council to think again and not let the Butter Market stay the sad place it is today.
