Keeping in touch

The Observer wants to help you keep in touch with friends and relatives, and to find those you may have lost contact with. If you want to get in touch with someone, trace a long-lost colleague, friend or relative, or find out information for your family tree, post a message in our guest book or email: joanne.rothery@chiobserver.co.uk

Seeking old school friends
I attended Chichester Girl’s High School from 1950 to 1955 and would like to contact old friends who would know me as Melita Harrison. At school some were known to me as Anita Burbage, Marjory Wood and Irene Buttgerite. I also attended a small Catholic Youth Club and some of the members (only about 20) might also remember me.A long way off, I have lived in Tasmania, Australia since leaving England and would so much like to hear from someone in a the old city I loved.

Family tree

I am researching my family tree and am looking for any descendants of the late Micheal Robin Clooney who tragically died in a house fire at 23 Monksfield, Three Bridges, Crawley, West Susssex during May 1976.
I believe Micheal was a car park attendant during his latter working years and had a daughter named Enid Goodall.
Should anyone have information that would help in my research please contact me on email address paul.kell@talktalk.net or telephone 01904 744796
Thank you - Kay Kell

Tracing the Stockdale family
I am Suzanne Alison Tagger (born of Stockdale stock). John William was my Uncle Billy who was born in 1899 in Hunsingore in North Yorkshire. He joined the Merchant Navy but was invalided out. He moved to Bognor Regis where he married Elsie Baker in 1926. I believe they had five children - two sons and three daughters. Billy died in 1965 and Elsie in 1966. It is 55+ years since I last saw my Uncle Billy.
I believe there are still some of the Stockdale family living in Bognor Regis and would ask that if anyone knows of them to contact me at Sidney.tagger@ntlworld.com or phone me on 0113 2687868.

Hoping to contact Rachael

She also has a daughter called Noon and a sister somewhere locally I think, perhaps in Eastergate.

School reunion

I am looking for Francis Geering. She was a pupil at Robert Mays School in Odiham. Hants and left in 1969. I don't know her married name but I do know that she lived in the Chichester area and possibly still does. We would very much like her to join us at our next re-union.

Looking for Emsworth family
While listening to Gardeners' Questiontime on BBC radio I was reminded that my brother Roy Mullord, while stationed at RAF Thorney Island, had a strong connection with Emsworth Parish Church and in particular with a local family. I regret that I cannot remember their name but I do recall that the son, who had a fine treble voice, attended Fr Morse-Boycott's St Mary-of-the-Angels Song School.
I would be very interested if any of your readers remember this family and/or my brother. I can be contacted on tonyrm@stones.com or 01277 623327.

Looking for Upton family
I am trying to locate either Elisabeth Hanbury Upton or Kingsley J Upton. They were married in Lewes in 1994 and have two boys, Jack Hanbury Upton b 1995 and Harry Edwin Upton b 1996. Both births were registered in Chichester.
Someone somewhere must know them. The usual sources such as the telephone book and the electoral roll have come up blank. Any information would be most gratefully received. Please contact me at joulescp@eastlink.ca Thank you

Looking for Dominique Kenway
I am looking for a friend of mine who used to live in Midhurst. She was called Dominique Kenway, but I suspect that she has married since I knew her. Her family grew up in Midhurst and her sister worked there as a vet. I think her name was Hannah but I can't be sure.
I met Dominique in 1994 when we both began working at Mill Chase Community School in Bordon. She later worked in Midhurst Grammer as an art teacher. I moved to London in 1999 and that is when we lost touch. She did have plans to move to New Zealand for a few years. I hope perhaps her family will be able to let me know where she is as I would love to get in touch with her again.
Lets hope you can help.
