TODAY'S the day Angmering has a chance to win an £80,000 lottery grant for a new skateboard park in the village.

It's hoped that people far beyond Angmering will give their support, so come on, West Sussex, pick up your phones now and dial the number!

The youth project will be vying for votes in the People's Millions contest on the Meridian Tonight news programme on ITV at 6pm tonight, Wednesday, November 28.

It will be competing against a scheme to improve youth facilities in Christchurch, Dorset, with the winner announced on the same programme tomorrow night.

Angmering Parish Council put the skateboard park forward for the viewers' vote and a camera crew visited the village earlier this month to film the footage which will showcase Angmering's bid.

Voting lines will be open from 9am-midnight, but only today, and the number to vote for Angmering is 0870 433 802.

Up to 10 calls can be made from any telephone line. Calls are charged at the standard national rate call charge for a BT landline, which will cost less than 10p if calling from a BT line. Calls from other providers or from mobiles could be higher.
