MOTORISTS faced disruption this morning (Wednesday, September 3) when the A29 was closed by an accident at Slindon.
Two cars were in collision between the Fontwell roundabout junction with the A27 and the junction with the B2132 at Slindon Common, just after 7am.

A woman was released from one of the cars by firefighters using heavy rescue equipment, and taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.

The road was closed in the northbound direction between the two junctions.

Three fire crews from Arundel and Chichester helped to release the injured woman and also made the cars and road safe.
