DOZENS of Horsham jobs are under threat after a network of new and used car dealerships ceased trading today.

The Sidlow Group ran a Volkswagen dealership, in Redkiln Way, providing servicing and parts as well as new and used cars.

The company could face repossession of its 300 strong fleet of used cars after it was forced into administration this morning (Thursday October 30).

The company, which has traded for 60 years and employs more than 200 people at five sites, is likely to shed jobs at its Horsham branch.

A recorded message on the company's answer phone tells callers that they have ceased trading.

It advises customers to contact Volkswagen directly.

A Sidlow spokeswoman said: "Yes I can confirm that the company has gone in to administration but I cannot comment at this stage as to what that means for each branch of the business."
