THE TEENAGER accused of murdering Ricky Butler appeared in crown court today (Monday November 19).

Richard Martin, 18, of Heath Way, Horsham, spoke only to confirm his name during the brief hearing in Lewes Crown Court.

George Hepburne Scott, representing Martin, did not apply for him to be released on bail.

Judge Anthony Scott-Gall remanded Martin in custody until February 11, when he is due to enter a plea.

Ricky Butler was fatally injured at a party in Gorringes Brook, Horsham, on November 3 this year.
