TEARING through Goodwood House on a motorcycle, stunt driver Dougie Lampkin narrowly misses causing damage to the 17th century stately home.
One minute the 12-times individual World Trials champion accelerates into the hallway, past a grand piano, before perching his front tyre on the sofa then driving off up the stairs.

Click here to see Lampkin's stunts including whizzing up a ladder on to the roof of Goodwood House, where he stops to drink a glass of champagne handed to him on a silver tray by the butler.

The amazing stunt was filmed to promote next month's Goodwood Festival of Speed at which the motorcycle pro will star.

A four-minute video of Lamkpin's jaw dropping stunts has proved a massive success on Internet site You Tube.

Lord March gave Lampin permission to free wheel through the historic house which is filled with antique china ornaments and paintings.

Goodwood spokeswoman Janet Bradley said: "The planning took about a week to ten days. Lord March had asked the Family previously if they were happy with Dougie riding in the house and they were fine about it

"Also the Curator was asked permission as she is responsible for all the paintings, furniture and carpets throughout the house so we needed her agreement especially.

"We used a helmetcam for Dougie so that we could get a 'Dougie's eye view' as he was travelling through the House which gave us some great images."

The Festival of Speed on the weekend of July 11 to 13 is expected to attract more than 150,000 motor racing enthusiasts.
