Fontwell is already a third of the way through its fixture list - and there are exciting times ahead at the track.
Bosses report a tough business environment at the moment where every bit of income has to be worked for.

But Fontwell is attracting people through its doors far more than simply on the 23 days this year when it is staging racing.

Click on the green icon on the right to get a taste of the race-day action at Fontwell, hear what a top jockey, Dominic Elsworth, thinks of the track, and hear general manager Phil Bell talk about the year so far - and the future.

And don't forget, the evening of Friday, May 2, sees Fontwell's Party in the Park night, which in addition to a top-class race card includes Miss West Sussex - a heat of Miss UK - and music from Queen and Blondie tribute bands.

We'll be previewing the night in the Observer on May 1.
