This year's Chichester Festival for Music Dance and Speech moves towards its conclusion with a busy choral singing day on Saturday March 15.

The focus moves to the main school hall at Chichester High School for Boys for a morning session which includes junior school choirs, mixed children's choirs and ensembles.

The afternoon will see choirs across various age categories put through their paces, concluding with church music groups and church choirs.

The next date for the winners will be the Festival Concert on Sunday March 30 at Westbourne House School at 6.30pm.

Selected award winners will be invited to perform in the concert.

Tickets are available at 3 for adults and 2 for children from Ackerman Music, 42 West Street, Chichester. For further information, contact Jenifer Pressdee on 01243 527237.

The Festival Concert is the finale for the festival which started in early February and has since put scores of youngsters to the test in a huge range of musical and speaking disciplines.

Long part of Chichester's arts calendar, the festival goes back more than half a century.
