MUSIC: Special concert to help replace spire in Bury
A fundraising concert will help St John the Evangelist's Church, Bury, towards the £60,000 it needs to replace its spire.
The concert will be at St John's on Saturday, June 20, at 6pm. The concert is being given by the Sine Nomine Singers, conducted by Helen Vickery, with Hannah Terry on violin.
The concert programme will include John Rutter's Five Childhood Lyrics, 14th to 20th-century instrumental music, madrigals and rounds.
Two poems by Bury and Coldwaltham choir members will be sung by Diana Bollam (Bury), who set to music two poems by Sandra Saer (Watersfield).
