VIDEO: Celebrities turn out at Festival of Speed

The Festival of Speed attracts thousands of people from around the globe and naturally some of them are celebrities.

This year the regular celeb petrol heads turned out including Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay, radio presenter Chris Evans, TV chef James Martin, and model Jodie Kidd.

American actress Sandra Bullock was also at the event with fellow countryman, talk show host Jay Leno who was at Goodwood for the first time.

Evans was parading his set of seven Ferraris at the event, including one worth more than 5m.

He said: "It's amazing. It's a really good celebration of everything that's good about motoring, great people, great atmosphere. It's like the old days, it's proper.

"The formula one cars are great, exciting. The touring cars are great, the rally cars, go up the rally stage and you will know fear, that's great fun."

Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay said there was no other event as good as the Festival of Speed in the country.

"I'm having a great day," he said. "This is the best event in the country period, finish end of story. Everybody gets close to the cars. There is a lot of respect for other people's motorcars and I think it is fantastic, really good."

TV chef James Martin had a busy weekend managing eight rides up the Goodwood hill, inbetween judging the Cartier Style et Luxe competition.
