A CAR veered off the road, clipped a tree and landed on its side near Ansty last night (Monday).
Police and fire officers attended the scene in Cuckfield Road after the accident at about 9.52pm.
Firefighters from Hurstpierpoint treated the surface of the road with grit and soil to mop up about two litres of spilled petrol and made the road safe.
