FLASH floods have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to stock at The Builder Center on the Bridge Road industrial estate in Haywards Heath.
Freelance photographer and video film-maker Eddie Howland works at the centre and happened to have his camera with him when he took these dramatic shots of the rising flood water on Friday.

Office staff had to be rescued by boat as the flood waters rose to 2ft.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service received 40 calls in the Haywards Heath area on Friday alone and on Saturday, a tree fell on power lines by the Witch Inn at Lindfield.

One of the worst storms of the year caused flooding on roads across Sussex with a spate of minor accidents.
