The Ardingly countryside was turned pink this morning as two thousand women took part in the Race for Life for Cancer Research UK.
Participants young and old descended upon the showground to take park in Mid Sussex's first Race for Life, with many running in memory of loved ones lost to cancer.

Some of the participants, perhaps worn out by the pre-race warm up by Mercury FM's Chris Oxlade, opted to walk the five kilometre course, but everyone who crossed the finish line picked up a medal for their efforts.
