Brighton's clubbing scene explodes with the Brighton City Festival from Thursday-Saturday October 23-25.
Organisers are promising some "cracking gigs to keep us grinning, grooving and gyrating through the dark months ahead".

Brighton City Festival launched in 2007 and after a successful inaugural year which saw the likes of 2Many DJs, Laurent Garnier
, Underground Resistance, Soulwax, Tim Westwood, Babyshambles DJ Set, Grooverider, Green Velvet, Roll Deep, DJ Hype and Futureheads, the event is back for more in 2008.

A spokesman said: "This year's Brighton City Festival brings a stunning mix of musical legends to the seaside. Whether it's soul, jazz, dance or electronica that rocks your boat – you have the chance to see the best of their genre entertain the crowds in some of Brighton's top venues."

"Jeff Mills headlines Thursday night's celebration with a UK exclusive set. Playing his inimitable brand of minimal techno with his own party drops of house and funk for the less hardcore, this is a very rare treat from a Detroit legend. A great line-up for Thursday night also includes DJ Yoda, Bugged Out DJs, Kissy Sell Out at 3 of Brighton's top venues - Tru, Honeyclub and The Ocean Rooms."

Friday 24 features Underworld at The Brighton Centre, with the dance legends performing old classics and new releases from their current album at their only gig outside London. Friday also brings Courtney Pine to the Komedia.

Saturday 25 is electronica night with artists and DJs incluidng Kraftwerk (DJ set), LCD Soundsystem (DJ set) Brodinsky, Casper C and New Slang at venues including Komedia, Sallis Benney and The Ocean Rooms.

Wristbands cost £15 for entry to all gigs and can be bought online at www.brightoncityfestival.com.
