An exceptional cast aged from eight to 17 will take to the stage at The Capitol Theatre, Horsham when Mid Sussex-based Ariel Young Actors bring to life all the fun of Bugsy Malone (October 8-11).
Leading lady Lizzie Jay has just landed a place in the National Youth Theatre, and Bugsy (Robert Hadden) has just come off a tour with Seussical The Musical.
And the company's Fat Sam, sweet-singing rock 'n' roller Rory Indiana Kaye is hoping for
his big break after winning through to the semi-finals of a national competition.
The 13-year-old will sing live, competing against 14 others in the next round of the national talent competition Live & Unsigned.
Rory said: "I love singing and I love acting and I would really love to be in the business as a singer."
Rory, from Lindfield, beat thousands of hopefuls who registered for Live & Unsigned and hundreds who queued in Brighton to audition in front of the judges.
Bugsy producer and director of Ariel Company Theatre Nicci Hopson said: "These young actors are really exceptional and this production of Bugsy Malone will be as near to the original West End and Broadway as you are going to get."
Producer Sue Jay added: "No expense has been spared on this production, with mostly original costumes from the period. It has taken us over a year to collect, but the overall effect will look amazing."
Ariel Company Theatre have had a run of sell-out shows including Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, Tommy and Return To The Forbidden Planet.
