Quality choir sings in Petworth

Amici Voices' will be in concert at the Leconfield Hall, Market Square, Petworth on Friday July 4 at 7.30pm.
Event spokeswoman Gillian Goodsman said: "This excellent ladies choir will perform a variety of sacred music in the first half of the programme, with pieces by such composers as Purcell and Mozart, as well as Bob Chilcott's Little Jazz Mass.
"The second part of the concert has a lighter feel and is based on a theme of night and day. Composers include Dowland, Berlin and Bernstein."
Gillian added: "The choir was formed fifteen years ago and during the past five years has gone from strength to strength under the musical directorship of professional singer and musician Zoe Peate. Amici
Voices are accompanied by Zoe's husband, pianist Gary Prior.
"Joining the choir for the Little Jazz Mass and several other songs are talented young double bass player Ben Wade, who will also perform some solo pieces, and drummer Tom Aiton."
