A planning application has been made to build a 10 million gallon reservoir to the west of Chichester Road, in Selsey.
The planned farm irrigation reservoir is located in the south west corner of Comptons Field, to the north of two reservoirs already in place.
The construction would be two metres high, with a footprint of around 150m squared.
Langmead Farms would use the reservoir for irrigating its salad and crops therefore reducing demand on the main water supply and reducing its running costs.
The application is available to view online on Chichester District Council’s planning portal
