Midhurst Rother College, judged outstanding by Ofsted earlier this year, is celebrating again today with its best ever A level results
More than a quarter - 26 per cent - of A Level or equivalent entries resulted in A* and A grades - another rise from 2012.
53 per cent of A Level or equivalent entries were graded A*-B, with three-quarters achieving A*-C.
Dr Joe Vitagliano, principal of the college, said: “These results confirm Ofsted’s judgment of the college as ‘outstanding’ and show it making year-on-year improvements despite A Level examinations becoming increasingly difficult.
“I am proud of how the students have worked incredibly hard over the past two years; these results are a fitting reward for their efforts and dedication. I wish them all well in the future.
“These results should give huge confidence to those students joining the College’s Sixth Form in September. These results are exceptional and show that if you work hard and act on the excellent personal support available at MRC, you can obtain first class grades and a highly sought after university place.”
Outstanding individual results included Chloe Dudman who achieved two A*s and an A,
Tom Cain who achieved A*, A, B with an outstanding grade in mathematics and Caroline Miller who received two As.
In addition, 100 per cent of A Level entries in chemistry, photography and product design received A* or A grades, with 100 per cent of art and history A Levels achieving A*-B.
