Another national chain has confirmed it is coming to Chichester.

EAT. will be moving into Macari’s in North Street, which shut its doors for the final time on Saturday, April 9.

A note posted on the door on Macari’s said that ‘regular team members would be joining EAT. in their new venture’, and added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers over the last 40 years for all their support.”

The new cafe will open at the end of June and will be EAT’s first in West Sussex.

Ed Grimes, brand development director of EAT. commented: “We are very excited to be unveiling EAT.’s new café for Chichester which offers a relaxed environment where customers will be served our handcrafted coffee and seasonal fresh food, soups and stews.

“It is modern and stylish and we hope it will be a very welcome addition to the historic city of Chichester”.

EAT. serves handcrafted coffee, fresh sandwiches, salads and cooks great tasting, seasonal food every day including soup, hot pots and pies.

This news comes just weeks after Pret A Manger announced it is moving to East Street and Wahaca has started work on turning the former Cargo home store in South Street into a restaurant.
