Appeal following crash in East Ashling

A scooter rider suffered serious injuries after a collision with a car along a country road during yesterday morning’s rush hour (Friday, March 4).

The man, aged 64, and from Chichester, had been riding his red Vespa scooter when the collision took place in Moutheys Lane at around 8.10am.

The scooter rider was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester while the 38-year-old male driver of the green Land Rover involved was not injured.

Sussex Police is now appealing for witnesses.
