A FORMER band from Bosham who enjoyed success in the 1960s got back together to play a special one-off gig for a cause close to their hearts.
Eclipse, the one-time backing group for rock singer Joe Brown, last played together 35 years ago. But on December 23, two days before Christmas, the five members came together to perform a charity concert at the Fishbourne Centre.
The concert was held to raise money for the neonatal ward at St Richard’s Hospital.
Members John Semerdak, Gary Semerdak, Trevor Ralph, Karl Payne and Tony Russell wanted to do the special performance because three of the band have lost children.
They raised a fantastic £1,808 for the children’s unit of the Chichester hospital, and a cheque was presented to the ward on New Year’s Day.
The band have said a big thank you to everybody at the Fishbourne Centre for donating the hall and for all the help to let this concert happen.
