Bespoke jewellery stolen in Southbourne burglary

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a unique piece of bespoke piece of jewellery was stolen in a burglary in Southbourne.

A house in Southbourne Avenue was broken into between Friday, January 31, and Sunday, February 2, while the owners were away.

The bespoke item is a necklace made specifically for the owner as a sentimental gift. The necklace is described as a yellow gold chain with an uncut unpolished emerald stone set in a yellow gold setting.

Other items of jewellery were taken including; a gold chain with diamond drop pendant, a platinum engagement band with a diamond raised off the surface and a silver ring with three strands.

Detective Constable Della Squires said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who has seen the necklace or has been offered the chance to buy it or indeed any of the other items. Please contact me if you have any information about where it is or who took it.”
