Boxgrove dog show is a smash

A COMPANION dog show took place in Boxgrove with great success.

This was the 12th annual event, which earned about £2,500 to be equally split between Boxgrove Priory and the village hall, and more than 200 dogs competed in the 26 classes.

Best in show was Dudley, a three-year-old French bulldog owned by Geraldine Howell of Yapton. Best puppy was Tilly, an 11-month-old English setter from Fordingbridge, owned by Diane Hewitt.

Best novelty was Dexter, a 20-month-old American cocker spaniel owned by Susan Pratt, and best local dog and perpetual challenge cup was won by Steph Robinson of Eastergate with her three-year-old border collie Pepsi.
