Campaigners who have spent many months fighting plans to build a large glasshouse in Almodington are jumping for joy after a planning inspector ruled in their favour.
It was announced today (Friday, August 10) that Madestein’s appeal to overturn Chichester District Council’s refusal of planning permission was dismissed by inspector Claire Sherratt.
The glasshouse operation was planned to cover 52 acres at Easton Farm.
The Almodington Association, a group formed by residents to fight the plans, has announced its delight at the appeal outcome.
