BREAKING NEWS: Driver trapped after A27 crash

A CAR has crashed into a tree on the A27.

Firefighters are currently working to free the trapped driver, with police and ambulance crews also in attendance.

The fire brigade were called at 12.20pm today (March 26).

The crash happened near Crockerhill, along the stretch between the Tangmere and Fontwell roundabouts.

UPDATE

At 1.30pm, it was confirmed by Sussex Police that fire crews had managed to free the driver, who was not seriously injured.
He was taken to St Richard’s Hospital.

The accident happened on the eastbound carriageway.
