BREAKING NEWS: Police no longer looking for suspect in Selsey rape

Police are no longer looking for a suspect for a rape reported in Selsey on July 29.

Initial reports from the 18-year-old woman were that she may have been raped near to The Lifeboat Inn between 9pm and 11pm.

The area was cordoned off the next morning, with police searching for evidence.

However after further information from the woman, detectives said they were no longer looking for a suspect in this case.

Detective Sergeant John Kalli said: “We want to reassure people in the Selsey area that we are no longer looking for anyone and thank them for their assistance in this case.”
