Budding lawyers from Chichester school go to Old Bailey

BUDDING lawyers from Bishop Luffa School will go to the Old Bailey next April after winning the regional heats of the National Bar Mock Trial Competition.

The annual competition involves teams of up to 15 students aged 15 to 18 who prepare the prosecution and defence of two specially-written criminal cases, taking on roles of lawyers, witnesses, court officials and jurors and judged by professionals.

The team were: barristers Callum Munday, Alice Jupp, Esme Ash and Alex Taylor; witnesses Sam Peake, Ian Carruthers, Dzifa Kugbega, Megan Wojcik, Josephine Burt, Lorna Sutton, Rosie Little; and court officials Harriet Clark and Emily Moore.
