Boxgrove Post Office could move to Tangmere

A NEW post office could be opened in Tangmere after the closure of the Boxgrove branch.

The new premises, to be situated in the One Stop in Tangmere Road, would see the opening hours doubling those provided by the Boxgrove store.

It would be open from 7am–10pm, seven days a week, and would be one of the Post Office’s ‘new local style’ branches.

Boxgrove Post Office, based in the Boxgrove Village Store, closed in February.

Last November, it was reported it had been placed under the temporary control of a sub-postmaster.

The Post Office has invited people to give their comments on the move in a six-week public consultation, which ends on
May 3.

“We understand how important having a post office is to residents in Boxgrove and we are confident this new modern branch will make it easier for our customers to do business with us and also secure services for the future,” said Mark Lawrence, regional network manager for south and east England.
