ESTATE agent Henry Adams is throwing its weight behind the business awards this year, and is sponsoring the Education and Training category.

Richard Longhurst, partner at the firm, explained why training is such an important part of the business.

“From the company’s perspective, we do invest with in-house and external training for our employees,” he said.

“We do encourage people to study and get their qualifications.

“We would like all our employees to be members of our governing body, and we do fund that and support it.

“We are trying to maintain the best customer service, and for our employees to be experts in the field and give clients confidence.”

The company, which not only deals in property, but also has an auctioneers in Chichester, is keen on training its staff to the highest standard.

Mr Longhurst believes companies should be recognised for this, which is why the firm is sponsoring the awards.

“I attended the awards
last year, it is a fantastic event,” he said.

He encourages businesses to apply for the awards, just to get their names out there.

“There is a huge amount of positive publicity to be gained from it,” he said.

“It is good for any business to be recognised.”

The company, said supporting the business awards was one way of helping the community, but it supports several charities like St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Chichester.

“We try to give back
to the community and promote local charities,”
Mr Longhurst said.”

Henry Adams started in 1990 with just one office in Chichester, dealing only in agriculture and property management.

Now Henry Adams employs 140 people, and has offices in Chichester, East Wittering, Emsworth, Selsey, Rose Green, Bognor Regis and Middleton-on-Sea, and several more in Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.
