A GROUP of businesses has come together to form a network which can help and advise people in later life.
Each business has its own expertise in how to help elderly and vulnerable people when they are planning their future.
This can be from where to invest their money after retirement, to sorting out how to find the right nursing home.
The idea started when wealth management expert and accredited later-life adviser Tim Reedman met John Corrie from Henry Adams at last year’s Observer and Gazette Business Awards.
Mr Reedman said: “When people retire, they enter a period of their life when planning for their financial future could not be more important.
“It is often said to me how nervous new clients of mine are, when they are planning for their later years.
“I decided last year, to get a group of like-minded professionals together, all individual companies in their own right, but with a common theme that post-retirement clients needed a very personal and comprehensive approach to their future plans.”
The group can help with a wide variety of issues: financial planning for the next generation, inheritance tax, long-term care or just some advice when a loved one is suffering with dementia.
“This group has grown over the year and now is able to offer a much wider range of services than I originally thought possible,” said Mr Reedman.
“Whether you have just retired, are thinking of your retirement house move, planning for long-term care, or even already receiving care, we can help.
“Advice should be at your pace, personal and unrushed, totally transparent and most importantly, fit for purpose both now and in the future.

With estate agents and care consultants on board, there is a wide range of companies which are willing to help and advice people on later life issues.
The group is planning on running free seminars for people to get advice on a whole range of topics on financial matters for the elderly and vulnerable.
