ACCESSING their properties illegally is the only option for some people living near the A27.
Because of flooding on Easthampnett Lane, near the stretch of A27 between the Tangmere and Fontwell roundabouts, residents are having to access their properties via the A27 through the ‘No Entry’ point.
Roger Birkett sent in a photo of the stretch of road, next to the Southern Water waste water treatment plant which he took on February 14.
He described it as ‘yet another lake in Easthampnett Lane’.
He added: “Owing to the depth of water most residents have been accessing their properties illegally via the A27 through the No Entry point.
“We, the residents, have been complaining to West Sussex highways and Chichester District Council for several years now but alas the problem still persists.”
Mr Birkett said he wanted to draw attention to flooding on Easthampnett Lane, in the hope action could be taken.
