HOME-improvement enthusiasts turned out in their droves to witness the grand reopening of Bognor’s new look B&Q, and to see television presenter Kirstie Allsopp declare the store open.

The presenter of Location, Location, Location, and Kirstie’s Home Made was met with applause as she cut the ribbon yesterday (Friday, March 8) and admired the new-look store.

“I’m a great believer, especially on rainy days like this, that your home is incredibly important,” said Kirstie.

“This shop will help to make your home a haven that you really love spending time in.”

The store has doubled its workforce, taking on employees from the local area.

Store manager, Johan Van Nierkirk, said: “We have amazing, helpful staff who have been through weeks of training.”
