AN APPLICATION to turn Little London Walk into a single retail unit has been launched.
The owners of the shopping precinct which has 19 units, are keen to demolish the building in it’s current form in order to lease it to a high-street chain.
However, four of the tenants in the precinct have leases until 2020, and are not prepared to give them up.
Johnny de Lisle, of PMB Lettings, the company which owns the site, previously told the Observer he would submit a planning application in order to keep options open for the site.
He also confirmed he would not be refilling the empty units – which is set to rise to 15.
But the owners of camera shop Whitby’s, café Chives, shoe shop Zig Zag and cake shop Cake Fayre, have made it clear they will not leave until the end of their leases in 2020.
