SPONSOR for the medium business category is JSPC Computer Services – a family-run firm based in Sompting.
The company provides ICT support to small businesses and more than 200 local schools.
Founded by James and Shelley Stoner in 2003, it also has a repair centre and shop, selling in excess of 5,000 PCs and laptops every year.
The company now consists of 16 members of staff and is a member of the FSB, Buy with Confidence scheme and the Best of Worthing.
In 2012 JSPC became a Samsung Service Centre – the only service centre covering the South East of England.
James Stoner is also involved in the Worthing Herald Business Accelerator Scheme in which he acts as a mentor to new entrepreneurs.
He is supporting the Observer and Gazette Business awards for the second year in a row.
He said: “As a medium-sized business ourselves, we understand the challenges that other businesses of the same size face in order to deliver competitive and high quality services with a smaller team.
“We are delighted to support these awards as we feel it is important for local businesses to work together in order to succeed in the competitive market we currently work in.
“These awards are a great way to celebrate and recognise the work being delivered by medium-sized businesses that have successfully come through the growth period to continue providing exceptional services.
“Sponsoring the awards enables us to illustrate our support for the local business community and give medium-sized business the recognition they deserve.
“There are definitely benefits in applying for the awards, as they give those businesses that are shortlisted a great platform to showcase their business services and what they have achieved.
“The awards also offer businesses a chance to come to together, meet each other and discuss how they could work together in the future.”
