A NEW-look Barnham store is brimming with inspiration and charm.
Since its revamp, Country Cottage Interiors on Barnham Road, is a shop with a difference.
Instead of rows of shelves and racking, it is instead laid out as a cottage with a fireplace, mantle, laid dining room table, dressers and a sofa, showcasing all it has to offer.
Owner Veronica Caldercott said: “It is something different. It creates the impression that you are stepping into a cottage.
“It shows people what they can achieve and it gives them inspiration.
“It is about 200 per cent better than I could have imagined, people have been amazed when they come in.
“We are still selling our popular giftware and cards, but now we offer fabric for curtains, upholstery, craft, home accessories, cushions, textiles, mirrors and furniture.”
Veronica has an impressive history in retail, for more than 12 years she has been selling designer gifts.
She opened the Barnham store about three-and-a-half-years ago, but before that she was in Bosham.
Veronica said: “We have a lot of knowledge. We can tell people how and where products were made.
“We can offer advice. Our aim is to offer a friendly, personal and knowledgeable service.”
The shop is a treasure trove of goods, with pieces from more than 150 designers and some 10,000 products in stock.
It is also home to a quaint giftwrap and card room.
The store is the largest stockest in the south for Emma Bridgewater, stocking the entire current ranges and a large selection of discontinued products, too.
Exciting new fabric and wallpaper designs from Sanderson have also arrived.
The store also offers a click-and-collect option which allows customers to buy what they want from its Ebay store at www.storesebay.co.uk/countrycottagegifts and as long as you do so before 9pm, it will be ready to collect from the shop the next day.
Country Cottage Interiors is open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm.
