A GROUP from Leaholme care centre in Chichester knitted a snakes and ladders board and played a game with children from Chidham pre-school.

The board was made out of wool, and the group knitted the snakes, ladders, dice and figures for the children to play with.

Marion Mason, who goes along to the group and helped create the game, said: “The day went well and the children were really excited. It was very good and all the pieces were knitted by us.”

The Leaholme group meets once a week for activities like crafts, knitting and card games, and they were pleased to welcome the pre-school children into their group.

Mrs Mason continued: “The day was successful and it would be nice to do it again in the future. Our group is looking for a volunteer to lead and advise the group, so if anyone is interested in joining us, please get in touch.”
