A CHEQUE was handed over to Stonepillow trustees last Wednesday, from St John’s Chapel.

Michael Woolley, chairman of the Friends of St John’s Chapel, gave the cheque for £680 to charity trustees Martyn Bell and Clare Apel. The money was raised from a Christmas concert at the city centre chapel.

“The Off-Centre Choir led the concert and they were terrific,” said Mr Woolley. “Everyone wanted to give.”

The event was part of a series of festivities celebrating 200 years of St John’s Chapel.
