THERE will be changes to waste and recycling collection days over Christmas and New Year in the Chichester district.
Collections in the Chichester district will change in the Christmas week and the week following New Year’s Eve but will return to normal on Monday, January 7.
Household collection dates
Normal day Tuesday, December 18, move to Monday, December 24, then Wednesday, January 2.
Normal day Wednesday, December 19, move to Thursday, December 27, then Thursday, January 3.
Normal day Thursday, December 20, move to Friday, December 28, then Friday, January 4.
Normal day Friday, December 21, move to Saturday, December 29, then Saturday, January 5.
Clinical waste collections will remain the same apart from collection days due on a bank holiday, when the following changes will take place:
The collection due on Christmas Day will move to Saturday, December 22.
The collection due to take place on Boxing Day will move to Saturday, December 29.
The collection due on New Year’s Day will move to Saturday, January 5.
The green bin composting service will stop from Saturday, December 22, to Monday, January 7.
Real Christmas trees can be recycled if residents have signed up to the green composting bin, or, if they are placed next to the black bin on the first collection day in the new year, or, taken to a household recycling site at Westhampnett and Midhurst.
