CHICHESTER has been labelled one of the top places to raise a family.
The Daily Telegraph ran a story this week in its property section, counting down the best places in the land to start a family, with Chichester in 14th place.
The paper highlighted West Wittering beach as well as the Brandy Hole Copse nature reserve.
Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire, came in first in the paper’s list, with it highlighting ‘excellent schooling, low crime rates, a thriving sporting culture and a bustling town centre’.
The Daily Telegraph said it put together the list in response to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s decision to raise their family in Norfolk.
While saying there was ‘no such thing as the perfect spot to grow up’, according to the paper, it described its top 20 list as containing places ‘rightly treasured by parents for everything they have to offer’.
