They will be demonstrate marching drills to other visitors, as the museum will be open as normal, and taking part in the Air Training Corps anniversary torch relay.

Between 5pm and 5.30pm, the squadron will hand over the symbolic torch to another ATC Squadron, as it continues its journey around the UK.

Jason Riches, the museum’s events manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome our local Air Training Corps cadets on this special occasion.

Parents and cadets will be here, along with members of the public, to enjoy the museum and to provide happy memories of their anniversary locally, which is part of the national celebrations.”

Refreshments are available in the NAAFI Tea Room and car parking is free. Normal admission fees apply. Visit www.tangmere-museum.org.uk for more information.
