FIREFIGHTERS from Chichester and Bognor Regis were among those honoured for their long service.

Ian Sinfield, Lee Spencer-Smith, David Mcmahon and Neil Stocker from Chichester joined David Taylor from Bognor Regis to be honoured with long service and good conduct medals.

They were presented with their medals with some 14 other firefighters from across West Sussex on September 13.

The Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, Susan Pyper, presented the accolades at a special ceremony in Arundel Castle’s historic Barons Hall in front of an invited audience of proud family and friends.

The medals are awarded nationally, on behalf of the Queen, to firefighters who have completed two decades of outstanding service.

The ceremony was also attended by County Fire Officer Max Hood who paid tribute to the firefighters for their dedication and commitment, and that of their families.
