A CHICHESTER woman is appealing to people in the city to help find a painting which has been mislaid.
Artist Jenny Tyson, who teaches at Pallant House Gallery and holds life drawing classes at the University of Chichester, mislaid the abstract landscape painting last Wednesday (February 29) while on her way to teach at the university from Pallant House.
She had parked her car at the multi-storey car park in Avenue de Chartres.
“I definitely had it when I left Pallant House Gallery, I was busy and I was re-arranging things in my car and must have left it by the side of the car in the car park and driven off without it,” she said.
“I have looked at CCTV of me from the gallery leaving with the picture, so I definitely had it.”
Mrs Tyson, who has lived in Chichester for around 20 years, said she wanted the painting back because she wanted to include it in the forthcoming Open Artist Studios event which will be held in May.
The oil on canvas painting, pictured on the left, is around two feet in size and is framed and had a tag on it for £355.
